The Stockdale High School Jazz Band meets after school as an 8th Period Class.  It is made up of a horn section which includes saxophone, trumpet, and trombone players, and a rhythm section comprised of bass, drum, piano and guitar players. It is a high-level ensemble that performs concerts at school and around town often at retirement homes.  Their repertoire includes jazz standards as well arrangements of popular music that cover most genres including swing, rock, blues, funk, and Latin. Students are expected to also perform in an ensemble during the school day to be eligible for Jazz Band.
